HYDRIP means sustainable irrigation

HYDRIP was developed to meet the main challenges of irrigation in dry regions:

• Inefficient use of limited water resources
• Increased soil salinity due to the evaporation of irrigation water

Under adverse soil and climatic conditions these problems can have serious financial and ecological costs as well as impacting on human development.
